Finally a Shopsmith owner!!

When my wife said she would like to have some birdhouses made for the plant shelves in the family room I knew I would have to have a scroll saw. I had been looking for a 6" belt/10" disk sander and they were very expensive so I decided it was time to quit making excuses and get a Shopsmith.
It happened to be my birthday so after dinner I went on craigs list and as luck would have it a guy 30 miles away had just listed one that evening!!
It is very old (1977) but works great and has been well maintained. It came with bandsaw, belt sander, scroll saw, and jointer. I have finally finished making places for all the parts in my workshop and have been getting some items that were missing from Shopsmith and ebay. Finished her first birdhouse this morning!
I wish I had bought one of these when I first got the bug about ten years ago. Even if I had paid retail for it I would be way ahead of where I am now in my woodworking skills.
