mortise and tenon
I ordered the mortise and tenon package from shopsmith the other day. The wife wants me to make matching end tables to the sofa table I just finished. Also I will be making similar nightstands and a mission style bed. So I thought with all the mortise and tenons it might be nice to have this kit. The price is great to you practicly get the tenon jig free.

I bought the mortise and tenon package on an email special a couple of years ago and have never looked back. Mortise and tenon joints are very strong and glue up square. For tables, there really isn't a choice unless it's sliding dovetails.
Anyway, Nick did a great video on how to adjust the mortising bit. Be sure to look at it when you get the kit.
