Incra Wonder Fence with Mark 7 Upgrade

Post by h-bomb »

I am wondering how easy it would be to attach the incra wonder fence to the 520 fence.

The reason I am enquiring is because of the new Mark 7 tilting upgrade.

The only real benefit I can see over a fixed router table with the 520 router pro fence or the wonder fence is the ability to tilt the main table.

The other benefit is of course more torque.

This would allow angled routing and shaping instead of just perpendicular. e.g. octagonal boxes with dovetail joints etc...

The problem being the 520 router pro fence bottom does not touch the table top, although I may be wrong on this.

Anyway I'm interested in your thoughts.

I have the 520 router fence and it does sit off the table at least 1/8". The fence is equipped with a T-slot on the face that would allow mounting auxiliary fences that could be set to sit on the table. I have no experience with the Incra Wonder fence.

Should work, may not sit flush though. I will try to take a look and see.
