looking for an instrctor in Chicago area

Post by stan1 »

I recently inherited a Mark V Shopsmith. I would be willing to pay someone for some basic instructions on set up, adjustments, changeovers, etc. I have ordered the manual, but I have found that personal contact with someone who has used the machine is more beneficial

Stan,

I also inherited a Shopsith 500 a couple of years ago and had no idea how to maintain it or use it. I recommend you watch the SawDust Sessions with Nick Engler. You'll learn a lot. The attached guide shows all the segments and shop tips. The links are imbedded. Just click on a subject and it will launch the session.

Sincerely,

Stan-

I an not an expert but have owned and used the Shopsmith for 25+ years. I would be happy to help you out, no charge either. You can contact me if you are interested at stew@mccins.com.
