Looks in very good shape, I see a speed changer and table extension, both nice to have accessories. :) , it doesn't have the 4E jointer head rest, so they probably mean the jointer cutter that mounts on the spindle and is used in conjunction with the jointer/shaper fence. http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=2705.

The headstock (unstoppable motor with electronic push button commands) was upgraded to the PowerPro Headstock a few years ago, which is the Mark 7 ShopSmith headstock. This upgrade alone is worth over $2000.00. I think it is impossible to strain that new motor when passing wood. This ShopSmith has been lightly used for small home projects and well maintained. This has the original single (not the upgraded double) tilt chassis.

Among other accessories I have: a joiner attachment, drill press, table saw, band saw, upgraded caster wheels, table (miter and fence), lathe, sander, dado blade kit, table extension legs and extra table sections and more. I have ALL of the documentation from the original purchase and for all accessories. ShopSmith provides replacement parts, upgrades and add-ons all the time and has great support.

Asking $2000.00, but make an offer. Cash or you must wait until your check clears before taking possession. First come first serve. A new ShopSmith will cost you at least $4279.00! Why do that to your budget when I am selling way more than a basic machine? Will deliver in Albuquerque for free.

Please do not try to adjust agreed price down. I am a straight shooter and expect that of you. I can give you a orientation, but there are many YouTube videos as well.

I contacted him a few hours after he posted that. He is representing it as a Mark 7, but it is only a single tilt upgrade. It looks like a good machine, and he said so, but he is not a SSer. I may keep an eye on it. :)

Same seller also has an aluminum table bandsaw, a jointer, and a cast iron table bandsaw in separate listings, all also listed for $99 each.

UPDATE 7/24/18: While DC3300 and jointer apparently sold, 2 bandsaws still listed. Price for aluminum table model is now $125, and fence is NOT included with it.

Seller couldn't say what was wrong with motor ... I'm trying to pry more info out of him (or her)

Knowing how infrequently planers come up, that is what caught my eye. 12" planer Mark V mounted, with older style height adjustment handle and possibly rubber infeed roller, with separate feed motor.

UPDATE: Seller answered with this additional info: "The motor was under power but spindle was not turning, then as you move speed control it would turn but if you move it back to higher speed it would overload and stop".

So the seller sent pix of a bandsaw with a busted cover!

Re: motor - Likely narrow worn belt that got stuck in the sheave vanes and stalled motor.

Quill looks hyper-extended.

Definitely a 500 carriage and table in de box.

No sign of the jointer fence??

No, it doesn't have a speed changer, and yes, it needs some TLC, but still, hard to beat the price. It started out at $100, so seller is obviously motivated to get it gone.

For $75, perhaps a gamble, but one I would take if I was looking for a project, or needed parts. A lot of pieces not shown, but will leave any further investigation to someone who might actually be able to get it.

Interesting that there is a 'spare' A headstock.

Thought it might have sold already, as ad was deleted by author. But, then I see it has been listed again, and now price is $50. Someone please buy it before I have to ask my nephew who lives in same town to pick it up for me!
