This forum was (at one time long ago) all about Shopsmith and Woodworking. That criteria seems to no longer apply...as a result I now spend a very small amount of my time reading the posts or posting. This is SAD (at least for me).
Seriously???? IF you were a photography buff and were on a Nikon forum, do you not think that members wouldn't discuss the competition, e.g. the latest Canon camera to compare and contrast? Would they not talk about how to take better pictures or how to compose certain types of shots? Similarly if you are a Camaro fanatic, do you not think the Camaro forum wouldn't talk about the latest Mustang or EV conversions, etc., etc.? Can they discuss general maintenance and machinist topics? Honestly, this forum would be quite dull if it ONLY discussed Shopsmith equipment and nothing else. It would be quite myopic in my opinion. How else are new woodworkers going to learn new woodworking techniques, alignments, etc. if we didn't have this section titled "Beginning Woodworking" of this forum? I am not saying that we don't get off topic from time to time, but EVERY forum does. Eventually it corrects. JMO.
