I haven't posted anything for a while so I thought I'd share this mirror project. We had an open space on the wall of our newly decorated guest room. My bride decided a mirror would be useful and she thought some hooks or a shelf would also be used by a guest. I found the plans for this in an old Woodsmith magazine (Issue 98). I've never done bead molding before but I've admired it so it added a leaning opportunity. The corners are doweled. The shelf held in place by screws through the back. Incredibly I found this beveled mirror, the exact size I needed, at Menards for $17. The pegs are from a craft store. I filled the grain using Timbermate, added 2 coats of garnet shellac, and 3 coats of General Finishes polyacrylic (sanding between every coat). Sorry about the picture. I found it difficult to try and get a good image of a mirror.
