I saw the AAW current issue of Woodturning FUNdamentals where they showed a brush to clean off the dust accumulation on the bandsaw whee tires. Anybody done that on a SS bandsaw?

I thought about doing that many many years ago but never got around to it. I haven't had a problem without the brushes on my 25 year old SS band saw that I bought new in 1994.
It certainly won't hurt to do it but I don't think it is necessary. Do any commercial band saws come with brushes? My 14" Powermatic didn't.

With some blades and/or woods, I get a build up. But, a brass brush and a few minutes, takes care of it.

THANKS guys, I didn't do a search because I saw so many bandsaw returns.

It should be fairly easy to make up a brush holder to work. There seems to be a lot of working space inside the saw.
