I am one of your Subscribers. I have watched a number of your video's they were very helpful (Thank You).I am retired and just getting back into woodworking. I purchased my Mark V 510 (1985 Unit) a awhile ago and had not used it. I have been cleaning it up to start finally using it. While doing this realized that the Quill Spring is not working / I am assuming it is broken. Have looked at a couple Video's about this. Not sure I want to attempt repair myself. My main concern is the concave (like) washer (I think that is what they called it) that is in the middle of the shaft as you pull the shat out. they talk about it dropping into the motor if you do not catch it. Not sure my hand will fit in to catch it. Really not sure of the best way to handle this or even if I should try. Wondering have you done a video on this? Also wondering do you do any repair work like this? or Do you have any Head stocks you have for sale? Appreciate any help and/or advise you could provide. Thank you, Dale

There is a video and Scott had a trick to keep from dropping that washer. I haven't found the video but the solution was simple, tie a string around quill advance shaft so when you pull it out the washer stays on the string.

Hey Dale. Thanks for your kind words and that’s wonderful that you are making sawdust. Yes, I have talked about that on a couple videos and have to admit that even I struggled to find one! Scott - sorry to hear the orange casters didn't work for you. After years of using the original hard plastic wheels on my SS, I've been quite pleased with the smooth rolling, low friction upgrade. I do have an accessory shelf and after a few weeks of toe-hunting for the pedals I swapped the pedals around to the other side. Works well for me because I always unplug my SS and have it in wheels down mode when not in use, so I always have to get around to the back before getting it into position, putting wheels down, and plugging in.

I just purchased the Wen cordless track saw.

i wanted to let you know that wen now offers a 55inch track for track saw. its only $4.00 more than the 50 inch track. my saw came with a 48 tooth blade. there almost as many arbor sizes as there are saws. some blades are thicker than others. so when replacing your blade make sure it has the right arbor size hole and if its thicker you will recut your zero clearance strip. Bill
