PROTECTIVE CANVAS COVER

I’ve seen a number of postings where fellow collectors here have been fortunate to have an original old canvas cover be included with their Model 10 purchase. And of course those generally are in pretty rough shape after faithfully discharging their duties in the shop for so many decades... Greasy, torn, and faded are the typical words that describe these.
I’d never stumbled on one of these covers in any sort of condition until last weekend, and it was worth the wait!! A gentleman was looking for advice on the main Shopsmith group for best options to sell his father-in-law’s 10-ER - and while the machine itself was in rough shape, there was the cover… sitting on top…in its original box… wow!
Until that gentleman pulled it out of the box to take a picture for me to show condition, it likely had never even been out. The material is stiff like brand-new canvas, the folds are crisp, and the logo is brilliant. Very thrilled to have this in the collection.
And I’ll tell you this: the price has certainly appreciated a bit from the original $3.75 retail!
