Let's bring this thread back to life and add some more postings.
This is the first Shopsmith I restored. It is Model 10ER, S/N R64000 and came with a Jig Saw plus I added the 4" Jointer Model 4E to it.

This Shopsmith Model 10E is the oldest Shopsmith I have restored. It is Serial Number 1077 and one of the original 250 shipped to Montgomery Ward Stores on the West Coast November 15, 1947. This picture replicates fig. 1 from the original typed manual.

Although I have mostly restored Model 10's I have done Mark 5/V's also. Below is a Greenie I restored that also came with a Jointer and Jig Saw.
I restored this Goldie a few years ago and believe it came out looking the best. The colors are a near perfect match to the original. One thing I could never understand about the Goldies, also called Brown / Gold / Tan /Anniversary Model Machines in the Shopsmith history, is since they were only 6 to 9 years after the introduction of the Mark 5 what Anniversary do they celebrate?

This is one of my favorite pictures I have taken of my Shopsmith restorations. I had five Model 10's at the time (3 pictured have been sold). Today, again I have five restored and two more I am working on. If I do not sell any before the others are finished I may have to do this again with 7.

I see that most of us took pictures in front of garage doors 🙂 Could it be that it is the only presentable place we have for a background? 🙂
I would say yes. Beside it eliminates clutter in the background of the picture.
