I have used transmission fluid in mine for years. Works great. Be sure to clear the air hole with a fine wire. That lets the air pressure equalize with each revolution. It helps keep the oil in the crankcase.

I am not sure but that part of the Sawdust Session is not working. I have watched the other three just fine.

Unsafe
Flexible shafts are like Corvair's, "unsafe at any speed". Probably why they are seldom seen anymore.

Filling
Remove the label plate then remove the fill bolt and using a pump oil can pump until it flows back. Just like doing a truck differential.

Tranny fluid
I have used transmission fluid in mine for years and it works fine. The biggest problem is the small hole for air pressure equalization. Keep it clear and open. I use standard blades from Ace. I have worn out several leathers that puff the sawdust out of the way.

Lift
One more thing, if your ceiling is drywalled then attach with a bicycle hook. Be sure to screw it into a ceiling joist.

Lift
I have done something similiar. I have a 24x24 shop with an open ceiling. I attached a small block and tackle (you can order pulleys from HF and make one) to a ceiling joist. Computer frustrations
Nick, A long time ago my brother gave me two essential computer tools. A computer brick made of foam which you can throw at the screen and a peel and stick panic button. The foam brick only rearranged the dust on the screen and thus I had to clean the thing. The panic button, like the cross walk but...
