Re: How to Mount a Band Saw Blade Upside Down!

I have not experienced that. However, I would think one would have to make a conscious effort to turn a blade inside out. In other words it couldn't (shouldn't) happen during packaging. I wonder if it was turned the wrong way (unnoticed) when welded and then just got coiled and packaged.

Re: Planer knives adjustment

Start with the knife above the zero line and rotate it down to the line. The knife edge should just touch the gauge when it meets the zero line. Rotating the knife further than the line in that direction will raise the gauge (as I remember). The point is that when the edge of the knife is in line wi...

Did the 10E come from the factory with the wood table top?

Re: 520 main table upgrade issue

You need saw blade arbors for the 520 table system. They are longer than the 500 table system arbors. The 520 table is larger than the 500 table. For that reason it requires longer arbors.

Re: Lower Saw Guard

Yes it is. How did that happen? The good thing is that lower saw guards are on eBay all the time.

Re: Older Mk v shaper fence update?

That appears it will work, but so far I haven’t seen exactly how & where it attaches to the table top. In holes? To the miter slot? If it attaches to the miter slot, then there must be a pair of miter nuts that slide into the miter slot?? Thanks, but just a little more info is needed please. No...

Re: Just Finished My First Shopsmith Project

Gratitude for the caring answers! I think it ended up good overall. The top is somewhat not the same as I anticipated. I wanted to simply adjust the top and base edges a little yet the switch bit sneaked through the collet and cut pretty profound. I have 40 year old switch with a to some degree cor...

Re: Router Plate

So then that table is really a stand alone unit designed for the SS router stand and really not intended for use with the SS system. Ok, then has anyone done their own router table mount for the SS 510 tube system? I’d really like to find a way to use my router with the 510 miter gauge and/or the 5...
