Re: 45 Inch Connector Tubes

https://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/specials/7DV878 The email version of this one came a few days ago, today is the last day. Another thing I've noted on occasion is that the emails and on-line ads don't always have the same info. Great job on your pictures! (Are those SS 5' tubes, or your aftermar...

Re: 45 Inch Connector Tubes

I noticed an option for 45" Connector Tubes, 556201, in the recent Shopsmith Sales Ad (ending tonight). I had never seen a 45" version from SS before this ad. This, to me, is a pretty attractive size option. I frequently find the 27" standard version to be on the short side for whate...

Re: Attach cast iron shop smith jigsaw to 10ER

If you can't just clean up the existing threads (retap the hole) i would use Russ' suggestion of a thread saver coil. Helicoil is a brand that is synonymous for the item. Ask any machinist and they will know what a Helicoil is. It is a permanent fix for just your problem. It does take a special size...

That is the first thing I looked for. I don't see it here. I use Firefox but I tried Chrome, Edge and IE and I don't see the link. Still a suspicious post.

Re: Mark V Speed Control

Given the above and all the apparent incorrect assumptions in this thread, does that mean that Magna Engineering really did know what they were doing when they invented the MK 5?

Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!

John, I understand not wanting to use the new old stock Lower Belt Guard. To do so would diminish its value somewhat and for such a rare item it is better to keep it in the unused condition. I feel the same way about one of the Model 10E Rear Fence Locks I have which is still new in the box. The sa...

Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!

On July 19 John had said Probably the rarest of the Model 10 accessories is the lower blade guard. My wife an I were on a road trip last week. We were in Durango CO on Thursday. I had my lap top with me and when we checked into the hotel I checked eBay at about 1400. A 10ER lower blade guard was li...

Re: Help. What Are These Parts That Came With My SS 10E?

This thing - Screenshot_20220724-134916_Gallery.jpg Is obviously a handle for tightening a nut inline. It reminds me of a small version of the one that controls the saw table tilt - 20220724_133416.jpg Could it go to something else like the saw guard maybe? 20220724_132404.jpg No. As I said before ...
