I have a large piece of spalted maple that I would like to turn. I am looking for information on how to stabilize the wood. I have heard of polycryl, but I have not ever used it.

How hard is it to replace the speed control assembly? My machine stopped this evening, the speed control is now very hard to turn and I have no power. I think that this is probaly the problem. Any suggestions.

I am looking for someone in the Myrtle Beach area that could show me how to make pens. I will be in the area all next week. Aug 5 - 11. I have all the parts, just haven't had the time to try it.
