Well now I feel pretty foolish.

So all I did was eliminate the extensions and plugged the wires directly into the switch and it ran.

Sorry about jumping on here and posting before completely trouble shooting and seeing if I could figure it out myself!

Well it's not the white wire. I pulled them and found this:

Powered the unit up and increased the speed..when it just shut off. No flash. No bang. No crash. Just stopped.
