It doesn't look like you have a dust port attached. Does the bandsaw fill up with sawdust with the bottom sealed up?

Re: Bandsaw upgrade

How did you get the flat base of the port to seal across the ridge in the plastic bandsaw cover?

Re: Bandsaw upgrade

Correction: I may have to try this. My 2 1/2" port *isn't* doing much when I resaw.

Re: Bandsaw upgrade

Is that a 4” flange? Must do a much better job of catching the sawdust that otherwise falls through the slot on the bottom of the bandsaw.

Re: Omaha Shopsmith Users Group

I'm impressed that you were able to round up 10 Shopsmith owners for regular meetings in the Omaha area. I'm not sure we could do as well here in Dallas/Fort Worth. Were any of you affected by the recent tornados in the area?

Re: Universal Lathe Tool Rest min spindle length

Something to know about my Mark 7 with the Lift Assist is the bracket mounted to the Way Tubes is about 1/2" away from the Bench End to allow space to reach the Double Tilt End Lock Knob. If yours is tight against the Bench End the space between centers will be that 1/2" less. Without a L...

Thanks Russ. Would a lift assist increase this gap?
