Re: Favorite/essential jigs?
Heres another one Im trying out. It is mostly due to laziness. Instead of making actual measurements on blade distance to fence etc...I tend to make small tic marks on my boards where I want to cut them. Then i do my level best to hit those targets-sometimes its good, sometimes not so good. The err...

Re: Favorite/essential jigs?
What is the width of the zero-play guidebars? Where do you get them? I haven't seen this discussion.
I really like the looks of your tennon jig.

Re: Favorite/essential jigs?
I love these ideas. Thanks guys. I do use a sacrifice fence on my miter Guage. I also have a sled for my table saw but not the SS yet. With an 8" blade I don't really want to use a sled and give up cutting depth. Has anyone built a box joint jig to use with the miter Guage and a sacrificial fen...

Favorite/essential jigs?
Whether they are SS related or not, what are your must have jigs for woodworking? What do you use most, what do you rarely use?Would also love to see some pictures. If it matters, I have a 10ER.

Fabricated lathe tool rest for 10ER
I couldn't easily find a stock tool rest that I wanted to buy so I decided to fabricate something. It took me longer than I wanted but I finally finished making two of them. Well, not exactly finished. Right now I'm using a galvanized and black pipe Tees. These are the weak links but are actually wo...

No problem! I just don't want to do something I shouldn't. I'm new to all this SS stuff and I'm not sure I've seen the one you are referring to.

Re: 10ER questions. New to the group
I would only use the model 10 jointer head with the model 10 specific fence that mounts in the table insert. The documentation for the shaper attachement I have says you can use it for "light jointing operations" with cutter 12-230. You are saying I shouldn't use it for that? Shopsmith Sh...

Re: 10ER questions. New to the group
I look forward to seeing it when it is finished. Are you still looking for a Rip Fence and a Lathe Tool Rest? Do remember you can use any of the four versions of the Rip Fence although I do not recommend the original (first) one that did not have a rear lock. As for the Lathe Tool Rest assembly any...

Re: Grounding an ungrounded motor.?
I replaced the cord all the way to the motor. Pulled the motor apart and cleaned it good while I was at it. I grounded to the motor mount. Thanks all.
