Thanks for the responses. I determined that the switch was bad, replaced it, and now its back up and running quite well. Thanks for the help!

I'm new to the forum and also Shopsmith. A friend gave me this machine and I've just been cleaning it up. The machine was running fine but I felt it wasn't running as smoothly as it should. I unplugged the machine, then used WD40 to lubricate the two sheves. Once lubed, I turned the machine back on ...
