While cleaning and oiling the headstock on my 2005 Mark V, I discovered belt dust in the top of the Headstock Housing Assembly and in the top of the Belt Cover Assembly. Is the "grit count" of sandpaper the same as the "grit count" of a grinding wheel? In other words, is 80 grit sandpaper the same as an 80 grit grinding wheel? I'm making an assumption that they are the same but I don't know.

I use a flexible shaft that came with my quarter hp Delta Belt/Disk sander.
It's not very long, 3'+, but it is occasionally handy!
