I did see the first post, even responded to it in the second post. I just didn't know the jointer was also made by C.C. Engineering, I don't see anything that says it was. The knock-off that Menard's sold wasn't actually made by Menard's, it was made in Asia. I thought perhaps the 6" jointer could ...

Back in the late 80's Menard's carried an SS knock-off with a 6" jointer.

Yeah, I've chased my lathe across the floor. If the legs were pinned down and the way tubes were stiffer things might be better?

Great idea leaving it open. I have a mid-80's case that I added the dust chute to. I think I'll just use a hole saw to open up a view port, it'll take all of 5 minutes.

I wanted to jump in and guess "inner tubes" but I was traveling and couldn't find my password.

Sorry for confusing thread. I assume since the Greenie couldn't take the standard ShopSmith two bearing quill there may be an issue with upgrading a Greenie to the ProwerPro. This all comes about because found you guys and now I'm looking at Craigs list to find a Mini candidate :)
