Re: Mystery Spring

I was trying to tell how impressed I am with the 520 fence! It locks down solid with zero wiggle.

Re: Mystery Spring

Thank you, David. It is the front trunnion wedge spring. The wedge was running around loose in the box, and I patted myself on the back too soon for figuring out what it was. I failed to spot the spring on the back end of that shaft. Missed it in the drawings too.

Mystery Spring

I'm upgrading my 500 to a 520 via eBay parts. Bought three items from one seller who did an amazing job of packing the main table, extension table floaters, rails (removed from tables), fence, upper and lower saw guards, tubes and legs all into one box. All, plus one little spring that doesn't seem ...

Re: Mini Traditional Bench Build with Mark V Assist

I'm one of those who have a year of actual experience spread over a few decades. I carved a few projects as a teen, made a few archery bows with my boys in their teens, built our house, and finally built "Grandpa's COVID-19 Shop" with free money I found in my bank account. My most wonderfu...

Well, Foot! (or caster)

Somebody here on the forum advocated for always buying new SS items, pointing out that you're guaranteed that parts fit. I read that post shortly after buying a set of used casters off eBay for my PowerStation. Probably saved 80 bucks. Of course there were no instructions, nuts, bolts, nor spacers.....

Re: Carriage Stop Ring for Mk V 500

I found one. I think it's the right one, it's about 3/8" height sitting flat. I could sell it for $1000 on eBay but I'm lazy and that sounds like too much work. However, if you really want an original part you can PM me your address I'll mail it to you. If the eBay statement is true, I'm going...

Wiggly 500 Fence

Something seems to be seriously lacking at the far end of my old-style 500 rip fence. Either the far end hook is ought of whack, or there just isn't anything substantial for it to grab hold of. According to the parts diagram, my 500 table isn't missing anything. According to the diagram for this old...

Mini Traditional Bench Build with Mark V Assist

Work in progress... I'm only a beginner, but I enjoy experimenting with traditional hand tools. My goal is to have a half-size trad bench heavy enough to stay put when planing, sawing, woodcarving with mallet and chisels. For now, the B&D Workmate will serve as the base. I'll work out the eventu...

My day job tasked me with researching available magazine support software, and I quickly realized that the off-the-shelf solutions are primarily focused on managing advertising opportunities.
