Crazy lady just listed another one in Dallas. People here are insane.

$3,800 for a 510 with a router table and jig saw.
$2,300 (reduced? OMG jump quickly) for a 510 and bandsaw that's been listed well over a year.
$1,100 for a base 500 model.

I have not been real happy using the Gilmer Drive system for the reversible motor headstocks and Shopsmiths that I use. A new Gilmer belt does not track as well (moves on the pulleys) as I would like when in the reverse rotation. Takes a lot of run time and some adjustment for the Gilmer belt to we...

Almost all used shopsmiths have surface rust. Most can be cleaned off very easily with Evaporust or similar.

Nobody has mentioned this yet but shopsmith offers a lifetime warranty on their products. I've read posts that people had tables replaced under warranty for various reasons. If the dip is significant, call shopsmith customer service. It doesn't matter if you are the first owner or not.

Bob I am not sure how you tell the difference in the tables as I have never found any good images to show the differences which might help in having them or some kind of thorough description for not just me but others who purchase a used machine. Has anyone done comprehensive schematic on the wiring for this? I am going to make a stab at this but just don't follow the wiring very well. Thank you in advance Bob I'll add it to this guide as soon as I can. I have 5 motors waiting for me to do this weekend though. FINALLY have some time off. 13...

I have tried the tecnu wash and it does work if you wash right after exposure. Zanfel works before or after the rash but it's VERY expensive.

Never tried the pee though ;)

Check half priced books (if you have them near you). I often see these and PTWFE copies.

22 by the pic here. http://www.nickengler.com/Forum/vanilla/comments.php?DiscussionID=125 The first two in the picture are the same I think. Here is an old amazon link to the set. Seems the seller owes you a partial refund... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VB3MIA/sr=1-76/qid=1307563228/ref=ol...

I strongly doubt that shopsmith will ever offer any REAL discounts on anything (products, accessories, shipping, etc.) My impression is they have a new-age bean counter who was tought to look at everything on a "per line" basis. Each line in their finance book is designed to yield the most...
