Yeah....cannot service the lock without removing headstock.

Looks like previous owner overtightened it a couple times. Broke the end of the lock rod off. Going to have to drill it out to remove old parts. Everything needed is ordered. Thank you!!!

Thank you for your time. Found what I needed.

Picked up a used mark v. Model 500. Runs good.
Noticed the headstock lock does not hold. Removed roll pin in handle...found end of lock rod broken. How difficult to fix?

Bottom line here is that you HAVE both. A SS is like an erector set/tinker toy thingie - any thing goes and thy imagination is the limiting factor. Absolutely. Jigsaw comes in two parts...lower drive unit and table. Upper unit has mounting tube,guide and blade guard. There is a pin assembly that secures the two together....thats what I am missing.
