Drive belt slipping? I have seen reports of the motor pulley set screw loosening, so check that and the drive belt tension.

I would be cautious about recommending paste floor wax. Many now have abrasives added for a non-slip finish, and this is not what you want to use on your Shopsmith.

JPG That doesn't look too bad and is an easy fix. I had similar cracks in mine. Remove the hardware in the area of the cracks. Clamp the cracks tightly, and add a drop or two of thin cyanoacrylate glue. It needs to be the thin type, like water. I let mine sit overnight before removing the clamps, an...

Did you read the note in the description? NOTE: Will not work with soft start or variable speed routers. Will not work with "AC capacitor start induction" type motors.

On my jointmatic, the knob threads into a brass insert molded into the slide. The gib is just a flat piece of steel, about 1/16 x 11/32 x ?. I would need to disassemble it to see how long the gib is, but it is at least 1/8" from the top of the slot. I don't think the size is critical, just some...

If this is the foot switch that Shopsmith sold, I believe that was intended to turn on the shop vac (dust collector). It is not heavy duty enough to operate the Mark V.
