Re: Mark V Jig Saw
After watching some videos on its use, it will be a clean-up and try it out project. Seems safer than the ban saw for smaller material cuts. Found some good posts on replacement blades via forum Search.

Mark V Jig Saw
A Jig Saw came with a used Shopsmith. The mechanism moves freely by hand turning. Does it look complete and are blades still available for it? Is there a market for it whole or for its parts?

Re: Miter saw mounted to adjustable table?
Nice and well thought out ,now I am wondering how a set of toggle type levers would work for locking it down instead of nuts and bolts . Interesting thought as I do use lever lock downs on other tables. Did install new 2 inch aftermarket casters, not knowing if the 3 inch ones would still let the b...

Re: Miter saw mounted to adjustable table?
Going to test out this arrangement of using u-bolts on the tubes. Swapped the tables with the other base for second main table as an better fence mount for extra wide table saw use. Left over countertop on the bottom of miter saw slides in/out with 2x4 Z-brackets, as a lay down shelf, (tape measure,...

Re-purpose Mark V headstock tube clamps?
Have a spare (bad) Mark V headstock and wondering if its design allows it to be cut down to re-use the lower section with tube locks as a base to fabricate a low profile clamping table to slide on tubes? Anything solid enough to work with? Want to keep the main table as-is. Thanks.

Re: Miter saw mounted to adjustable table?
OP update. Yes RF Guy, I was first considering vertical adjustment but now like comments of keeping the main table free for other uses. The Shopsmith came in with the kitchen reno..

Re: Miter saw mounted to adjustable table?
From OP. Thanks all for the prompt replies. Good point Russ on the pinion gear teeth as a weak link in the load, photo was helpful. I’ll make a plywood mount to way tubes and use the SS table for an infeed support.

Miter saw mounted to adjustable table?
Thanks for allowing me to join, first post. Just got an extra Mark V and curious if (or should) the adjustable height table can be used as a dedicated mount for a 65 pound Bosch sliding miter saw? Have already removed the bad SS motor. Searched/found good posts for removable miter saw mounts on tube...
