If it's sharp I'm skeered of it. If it's sharp and spins, I'm terrified! May be an over statement, but I have had my share of blood letting episodes, resulting in an abundance of caution.

Nearly all my lumber is rough cut without a true flat face. I use regular table salt. Don't need much and it disolves. I'm not a turner but, it shouldnt affect your tooling.

Unfortunately, there will be no internet access in the shop. Just setting the unit to it's highest cooling temp may be my only option other than rigging up a timer to interrupt/open the circuit.

It would be nice if their remotes would reach the unit from the house but sadly, they won't. I guess a trip to the shop to turn it on and back to the house for coffee may be the routine. Or, maybe there's a way to incorporate a timer? I'll likely just turn it up high when leaving for the day. Or, lo...
