Eureka! Bottomed all four sides out, then used a level to get the table as close as possible. All four are moving great now!
Time to shift to the manual and get them all spot on.

Finally! I have all four almost completely screwed in (lower the height). Tomorrow I'll make a block and try to dial them in sync. Took a lot of torque to get the one to budge.

Not sure top access would help. The sprocket allows applying more torque than the small diameter at the top.
You may need to be more 'aggressive". Try more torque alternating in both directions.
OK, I'll give it another try tomorrow, thanks! I'll need to find something better than needle-nose ...

I would remove the chain and attempt to rotate the lead screws individually. I am guessing that one which is 'stuck' is out of sync. If not, then you can address the misbehaving 'rod' all by itself.

More information. Looking "newer"?" planers, I see there are notches cut out of the tops of the Left and Right End frames. Can someone tell me what this material is (cast iron?)? I could drill access holes above the three table adjustment rods and at least be able to move them using the adjustment ...

Model 5990 SN 15546
One of the adjustment rods will not turn on my router. I followed the manual but am stuck.
My table does not have four set screws on the bottom. Two of the locations have pins, the other two have nothing.
I'm not sure what to do at this point. I'd hoped to get them ...
