Re: SC Johnson Paste Wax
I have tried that bowling alley wax and also found it works very well. It's a little softer than some of the other brands I've tried, so it's a little easier to apply.

Re: A classic is coming back… but only for a limited time 👀
I bought my first Shopsmith a few years ago based on the fact that any part to repair it was available. Now after the sale of the company it appears that is no longer the case. The original headstock is a very well thought out and totally solid piece of engineering, proven over many years and plenty...

Re: Parts section of 'improved' website
I believe in today's hi tech world the website should be progressing a little faster and be more intuitive to Shopsmith owners. What is more disappointing to me is that some parts that are still used on MK 7's can't be purchased separately, such as the lower saw guard piece that the dust collection ...

Great job Joe,
Any chance of a picture with it empty? Looks like your attention to detail is perfect with the dado's for nesting stuff!

That's a great idea. What did you use, some type of locking caster from Amazon? With all the storage needed this is pretty neat!

Re: Adapting Ryobi rails to SS. Alternative to 520 rails?
Thanks JPG, as how I'm new to forums as far as posting goes, I was just trying to be respectful. Jerry, If I was going to do it without access to a mill I would use a tablesaw, not a router. If you have a cast iron top saw it might be easier to mill the aluminum plates, as you will need to use an ac...

Re: Adapting Ryobi rails to SS. Alternative to 520 rails?
Jerry, We have similar idea's as I also have 2 Shopsmiths and was planing to do the same thing. This is the first forum I've ever posted on, so when I figure out the picture posting process I will post pictures of how I make out. I will be happy to share anything I figure out if it helps you, or any...

Re: Adapting Ryobi rails to SS. Alternative to 520 rails?
Jerry, I've also seen that post with the pictures of the plates, it looks like he was replicating the way the bars fit on the original Ryobi table. I just bought a used table off from ebay (cheap) to get accurate dimensions for plates like Ron's. I don't believe using just holes to index the bars wo...

Re: Adapting Ryobi rails to SS. Alternative to 520 rails?
I also would like to adapt a set of Ryobi BT3000 rails to my 510, instead of going to the 520 system. Maybe someone else on here has more information on the Ron May plates?
