Randy, My shop has several seams in the cement and is small so I move my machines quite a bit and once in a while I break a wheel hitting one of the seams. I also use the old 10ER casters on some of my home built machines and they used metal wheels back then and believe me they were loud. I have not...

The previous owner had put the spherical washer in backwards such that when you tightened the quill the handle ground into the case. It h...

Dusty, Nice little set screw chart.....Now take it a step further and give length, size, thread and point for each of the screws. I will give you a start, #501634 is a 5/16x18x3/8 allen half dog. I keep a couple of the SS help packs on hand, but most of the screws are available at a good bolt shop o...

Some one out there is SS Land should have the official install directions for the 520 upgrade on machines prior to 86 and some one is bound to have the instructions for the after 86 model. I am curious as I just acquired a 520. After using a 500 for years that 520 table is sure large.

I have found that FedEX seems to have better service in larger cities and UPS does a better job in the rural areas. I quite often get shipments from SS a day early here in Phoenix with FedEX while in my little shop up in the woods UPS does better. Both beat the heck out of USPS.
