FWIW, which is probably very little, I measured the travel of the original table lift: .1" per revolution. I suppose that makes the main thread a 3/4-10, but I failed to measure the diameter to confirm. Oops! The 1/2" bolt and washer I bought to attach the lift fit, so life is good. :) I'm...

Do you know if that's the same as the thread on the 10ER adjustment crank?

I don't have one of those to compare to, so the best I can do is measure the amount of travel per revolution of the adjustment knob. I'd hazard a guess that the newer version is faster with less control, but it's just that: a guess. Regarding the mechanism I have: what are the two ears with bolts fo...

Most of that stuff is missing :( I have the original table posts and trunnion (sp?) assembly, but the top is MDF. No extension table bracket, fence, etc. It was a pretty bare-bones affair I picked up for $50, and that's only because I wanted the chuck and other small add-ons like the lathe centers, ...

You certainly can.

It's likely I'll keep it with the machine, but I'll get in touch if I change my mind.

Well I'll be darned. My initial guess was that it belonged to the table assembly, but I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. After looking around for it and only finding images of the later screw-type setup, I started figuring it belonged to another machine and got tossed in my box by mistake....

Do I belong to a Shopsmith?

Please help. I'm lost and don't know where I belong. My owner found me in a box with a bunch of 10E parts, but I don't know if they're my family or not. If you know where I belong, please tell me!

Thank you,
Rusty

Just get an ER tailstock off eBay. They're cheap enough. Yeah, that's looking like the best option. I was just checking to make sure I'm not missing some other form of adjustment. Other than that, how good are you at bending CI?:D I'm better at gluing it back together than I am at bending it :D I w...

I used a 10# sledge hammer to adjust mine :) I don't think it would matter much if you are turning bowls or pens and stuff. Lol! Pipes, actually. I need to be able to drill a stepped bowl (2 different forstner bits) and keep the rest of the turning concentric with that hole. Until now I've been bor...
