Re: Guess What’s Making a Comeback?

It is the old 520s without all of the included attachments that it used to come with, ie. Sanding disks, Lathe accessories. It was done that way to bring the price down. If you look, they have those as accessory packages.

Re: 505642 Belt Sander Rebuild or Replace

Mine looked worse than that. I used a rust-oleum charcoal grey on it after media blasting and rust911 on the rest. I had a friend make some labels for it, they are not perfect, but pretty close. I have another friend turn down the drive platen for me.

Re: Magna 610 jigsaw refurb - parts?

I bought the set off of ebay, with the bearing and seals plus the gasket. Worked well.

I 3d printed the pump seal. Haven't tried it yet, but it should work.

Re: Yet another "Goldie" Restoration

Had another Mark V follow me home. I mainly got it for the planner. It has never been used. I need to do the usual maintenance on it and in the spring I will have to repaint the legs and rework the caster assemblies, but that is about it.

Re: Model 610 bearings

NyLined Bearing Update: Well, I struck out with BDIExpress.com. I had requested a quote for the Nylined bearings a couple of days ago. They responded back today saying that "Sorry. Neither of these are available to quote anymore. As we cannot get direct." So, I found one other distributor...

Re: Restoration of Mark V / produced on 11/84

For small parts, I just used zip ties reversed so I could easily remove them and put them in the rust remover. Then I just grabbed the end of the zip tie to pull them out.
