All I have looked at on you tube says that the amount movement is supposed to be 1/8 inch when measured by a Stright edge to set the height of the jointer blade. If I am wrong.....please let me know the correct height.

WOW I went to adjust the jointer knives................took a while to figure this one out.................the previous owner must have used paste wax on the knives...............so the jointer knives were stuck to the wedges and I mean stuck .......so after taking the knives and the wedges complete...

OK so I figured it out. The bed tubes that go into the end with the that pivots has two ribs and a stop in the casting to properly seat the bed tubes. Cutting spacers? If the Shopsmith needed spacers Shopsmith would have included them? Maybe their intentions were good but I have no idea where to cut the spacers from and where to install them. Just confused things. Nobody has a simple instructions on how to correctly put together a Shopsmith V ends...
