Built that way

My bandsaw manual says that is intentional. My bandsaw table has about 1.3 degress of pitch. The manual states if required you can shim the mounting bolt faces. About 30 thounds of an inch for mine.

Saw blade speeds

I was looking at some specs for a cabinet table saw and was surprised to see the 4300 rpm advertized arbor speed. The mark5 speed chart reccomends 3800 rpm at its highest and slower speeds for ripping. Well one and a eigth horse power does need a increased torque for hardwood ripping. No problem for...

pen mandrel

boostfan wrote:Rock, do you do your pen turning on the SS? I am trying to find a mandrel but they all seem to be #1 or #2 MT.
You can remove the morse taper adaptor and use the drill chuck to hold the mandrel or buy from pen state a SS adaptor.

Pen making tools

I've been making pens for years but always looking for better ways. Sings pen making book reccomends using a shear cut rather than a scraping cut. I like to sit at the lathe (hips get stiff from standing too long) Using the lathe duplicater tool holder works well but wonder about the triangle cutter...

The older woodworker

First the lever that Archimedies said if long enough he could move the world. I have a couple of short wood levers with notches that fit over the SS locks and one t...

If Incra offered their 1000HD or SE with a bar that fit SS I would buy one in a heartbeat. Several years ago I had rigid table saw and purchased the Incra 2000. I wanted to be able to use miter on my SS and found that Woopecker sold a bar for the SS slot. I don't have the Rigid any longer but can u...
