How would that be relevant WRT to the riving knife?
The thickness of the riving knife vs the width of the kerf!!! Very relevant.

Re: Re-outfitting a 510 SS to table saw mode

I love my combo blade and very seldom mount either the rip or crosscuts blades. Back when I was heavy into building that wasn't the case but back then it was more like commercial shop work. Now it is all hobby like. II no longer have stacks of lumber to rip (or cross cut). Whatever you chose to use ...

You are correct about a fan. When I wrote that I was thinking more like a dust collector.

Re: Guess What’s Making a Comeback?

I saw the ad. However, the original post from SS was a limited time offer of the original head stock only. Not a complete MK V. Did they change their mind? Hmmm... The ad campaign is a bit confusing and now a bit more so. Today I see an ad for a Mark 5. Or is it really a Mark V. Would the only diff...

Re: Any ideas for adding AC outlets to headstocks?

An idea would be to power the cooling fan by tapping into the motor switch output, but not sure if it will work. There might be a problem brought by the fact that the start currents for both the heasdstock and the fan motor are simultaneous. Two sources of power (separate feed lines) even if switch...

I see nothing wrong with your suggestion. I would love to see the community grow (in size and interest) with the addition of Canadian neighbors.
