Looking for the small wheel for the strip sander. Picture is attached. it's part 17.

I found 304 Stainless Steel Tube/Pipe with a 5/8" ID and 1" OD @ $33 per ft.. Would this work?

I also found Cold-Rolled steel tube with a 1" OD and .188" walls @$10 per ft. which yields an ID of .644 vs. .625" is this close enough?

Generally what kind of steel should I be looking for?

Does anyone know if someone makes a Morse Taper adapter for the Drive End of the Shopsmith.

What are you looking to do with it? There are a lot of adapters available and there are people that will make you custom ones. A Morse Taper one would need to be very large and it would not have the ...

I'm told that the cardboard box was intact. I hope that the Shopsmith can handle at least as much heat as cardboard. Time will tell...

Cardboard burns at 451F, electronic circuits don't do well at 212F unless they are mil. spec and even then I don't know many that will stank up to 400F.

As I am sure that you will! I find the PP to be very reliable and quiet.

Now, if they would give users a software update to eliminate the need to "CONFIRM" the chosen speed it would be a blessing for those who have gotten sort of used to the PP. Ah! but the lawyers would never agree.

The speed increaser has a top speed limit(attained with a stock Mark 5/V that is equaled by the power pro).

The speed reducer does not have a minimum speed limit.
