Sawsmith 2000

If anyone out there has a Sawsmith 2000 I have a couple of questions. 1. Have you found a source for phenolic sheets large enough to make different inserts? 2. Aside from lower saw guard problems, has anyone tried using a 12" blade to get more cutting depth? Thanks in advance for any help. Bob
