Yes; big surf casting plugs. The cedar is pretty light though, so they’re only big dimensionally.

Plugs on the duplicator

I had a bunch of old cedar so I thought I’d turn some striped bass and bluefish topwater plugs with the lathe duplicator. First go-around was pretty good.

I made one once as well , that was when I found out how important the MKV tables / blade alignments are, its so much easier making things work when everything is aligned. how did you fasten it to the table ? and do you have reference marks for future use ? Hobbyman the sled slides on white oak bars...

45 degree sled... simple. The mitre gauge slot bars are oak.

Algale I purchase the netting; though I have intentions to make some netting shuttles and stitch my own... just haven’t done it yet since I still have a bunch of net bags.
