I just figured my Shopsmith has cost me around 18 cents a day to own. And that figure will keep reducing as time goes on.

Thanks for the pic. Exactly what I needed to see. That one pic alone, with the table on the side has made my mind up I will purchase the belt sander. never realized you could mount it that way and exactly what I needed. Now if only the free shipping deal was going on now as it was a few days ago.

I was using my Shopsmith tonight building the toy train that is often seen in Nick's videos. I just had to stop for a moment and think what Joy I have using the Shopsmith. Many tools have come and gone in my shop but the Mark V never fails.

Shopsmith tools are too expenisve?

I was looking at a Christmas 1989 catalog and noticed The Shopsmith belt sander is on sale now for the same price listed in the 1989 catalog. $319. I have to admit over the last 10 years I have kinda given up on Shopsmith because of the price of tools. But just recently started to take another look....

Belt Sander question #2

I have watched the video but have a question about the table position. The catalog says the table can be placed on the side of the belt. The only photo I see with the table on the side is with the use of the drum sander. Am I correct that the table can be used on the side with the belt? Is there a p...
