Casters

Yeah, the give a template aligning the old holes and drilling the new ones. The template is perfect for getting the new holes to align, but the wheels seem to come out a little shorter. Maybe 4 in casters would help.

New casters

I got the new 3 inch casters from shopsmith today and the move the machine around fine. I did notice however that the template they provided doesn't quite get it off the ground on the first stop and it is only about a quoarter inch of the ground in the next position. That is fine for me with a relat...

knife edge on a board

I saw a grill scraper made of oak at the fair the other day. It was sharpened to a nice edge of the board and then the this edge was run over a hot grill to make the grooves to do the cleaning. Works pretty slick.

knife edge on end of a board

I'm trying to figure out an easy way of cutting a knife edge on the end of a board, getting down to a sharp edge at the end. The steeper the angle the better. Is there an easy way to do this?

Items for sale

I recently upgraded from a Mark 5 to the Mark 7, with PowerPro headstock. As part of the upgrade I changed the headrests from the single pivot to the double pivots. I now have the parts left from the upgrade. They are posted on EBay if folks want to look at them.

Shopsmith Motor

I recently bit the bullet and purchased a powerpro unit. (It is great) but it leaves me with a very nice motor from the "old" machine. Does anyone have any great ideas what I could use it for?

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks
