Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!
Great job searching the old phone books, Dave. I have used them in plotting my family's history.

Re: mystery pieces for Model 510
Interesting that the 500 guards (part # 505875) I bought in 2011 didn't have those (items 7 and 8). The instructions mention the thumbscrews (item 6) and said that they were replaced with button head socket screws. The main literature is dated 2/88 with an update about the thumbscrews dated 5/92.

Re: Microsoft GRRRRRRRRRRR
The desktop.ini icon shows up when the check box for hidden files is checked in the File Explorer, View Tab. I don't know why it would have been changed during an update, but that's where you can go to get rid of the new Icon.

I worked in a shipping company and we had to buy heat treated pallets when we shipped internationally. I have had to build custom domestic pallets and they were not treated. Custom...

Re: New Shopsmith Website is Up and Running Today!
Why all this using e-mail address for an id? What is wrong with a "customer number"? Nothing wrong with using a customer number, if that is what the company choses. I have had 3 customer numbers at Shopsmith. My first one was In the 1980's for multiple purchases. From 2/2002 to 8/2011 I h...

Re: New Shopsmith Website is Up and Running Today!
Nothing more to complain about. I can now loggin with email and password. Had to change PW but I do that periodically anyway. The history file is there which is good news even though it does not go all the way back to my first order. Did you have an email address when you placed your first order? M...

Re: markv drive belt size
That's the size that SS is selling for the Mark 5 drive belt. A24 or 4L260 is what my new one shows on the belt.
