:) Hey everyone,
After reading the posts I took a closer look at the switch and discovered a barely noticeable broken wire. I reconnected and voila, back in working order. Now I just have to clean it up before reassembling the headstock. Any suggestions as to places to oil, lube or check before ...

Way to fix?
Bob,
Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a way to remedy this? I have the motor free of the headstock and full visible at this point.
Thanks,
Mike

Bad cap on motor question.
Hey all,
Is there a way to test the capacitor on a 3/4 HP Shopsmith tool? Yesterday when I flipped the switch nothing happened. No hum, no sparks, only a momentary attempt to spin so short I'm not even sure it happened. I checked the breakers and the cord condition. I have not checked the switch ...

Finally got my "O" ring belt
Hey guys,
I finally got the back ordered "O" ring belt for my SS scroll saw. Does anyone have any hints as to how to stretch this thing on to the pulleys? I still have hopes of completing some projects in time for X-Mas.
TIA for any suggestions,
Mike:)

SS 26" scroll saw help ....PLEASE!
I had to replace the "O" ring belt on my SS 26" free standing scroll saw and now I need to know how the counter balance weights should be positioned. I failed to note their positions while trying to get the belt pulley off. I've not been able to find any source for this info so far.
