I have been building what I call a "SHORTY". The way tubes are 34" and the bench tubes are 34 3/4". This allows me to keep the carriage and main table. I find that I can do any function without any problem for me. I had tried 30" and 32" way tubes before settling on the 34". This is 18" shorter ...

Thanks everyone for all of the electrical advice. Today I went around the house to see what my options are. First off all of my home breakers are 20 amps. My house is wired for a electric dryer and range although I use propane so I am barely using my house electricity.

As was suggested by others my ...

First off, thanks again for all of the great advice. I thought I would attach a quick drawing to show where my shop (I mean shed) restraints come from.

The shop will be in the Northwest corner behind my house. Unfortunately I am limited ...

Wow! What great replies.

I have just returned from an off Island trip of doctors appointments (upcoming sinus surgery) and I am still absorbing all of this great input so I will wait a bit to reply (and ask more questions).

But I wanted to say thanks to all for taking the time to respond with such ...

Shopsmith - Deserted Island Edition

I am looking to buy a Shopsmith and I have no previous experience with woodworking. But I want a shop and some capabilities so I can learn. I want my tools off the front porch and I would like the kitchen island to return to it original task. To make this idea that much harder, I live in a small ...
