Re: Shop Made Accessory Shelf

I have been searching for a plan for the accessory shelf and it looks like you have one. Problem is I can't seem to be able to access it. What app do I need to open the drawing and see all of the dimensions. Thanks in advance for your help. The accessory shelf above was drawn with Sketchup 2017 I b...

Re: :: II MK VII = I MK XIV?

I may be wrong but isn't the keyway 1/8" wide by 1/16" deep to correspond to the keyway in the sheaves. If you do 3/16" the sheaves won't fit.

Re: :: II MK VII = I MK XIV?

I thought I took a picture of the shaft after turning and threading but can't find it. I cut the shaft off an old motor armature that already had a keyway. I think it was from an old Mark VII motor. I had to turn it down slightly and thread it. I'm still working on the headstock. It was trashed when...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

I just noticed this Wards PowerKraft for sale for $100. If I didn't have a bunch of Shopsmiths already I would buy it. https://raleigh.craigslist.org/tls/d/raleigh-shopsmith-multi-tool-for/7382077722.html 00f0f_2e1M212MapZz_0t20CI_600x450.jpg 00O0O_2GFxA8Cr3KDz_0t20CI_1200x900.jpg 00505_lsimHALHIfoz...

Re: Wooden Train for Christmas

Toys are one of my favorite things to make also. I should of thought about a little bigger box before I started. I hope it will be passed down.

I started on dump trucks again for Christmas donations yesterday.

Re: Wooden Train for Christmas

Thanks everyone for the kind words. About 90% of it was from the scrap wood pile. I always wanted a toy train when I was a kid but there were eight of us growing up on a dairy farm. Maybe if I hadn't drank so much milk my folks could have got me one.

Wooden Train for Christmas

I made this train from Shopsmith Woodworking Projects I book also in Hands On and featured with the PowerPro ad. A simple design but still took several half days in the shop. This is a Christmas gift for my great grandson this year. The train ways in at 17 pounds and is 70 inches long. I added rails...
