Re: Nova G3 packages

Thanks for the link. The G3 is all the Shopsmith needs (based on max diameter of bowls). Price comparisons have to include capability to mount on a Shopsmith. If the adapter is not included....

What's the difference between the Supernova 2 and the G3?

Nova G3 packages

Sale has 3 Nova deals but I don't know the difference.
First is the Nova G3, then there are two pen turning packages.
Do the two pen turning packages include the Nova G3?
If that's true, the second package is one dollar less than the Nova G3 alone....

Shopsmith mandrel for pen turning

Is there a Shopsmith mandrel for turning pens? I saw one on a YouTube video, but can't find it on the Shopsmith site. If there is, please give me a link., If there isn't, is Penn State the best one to get?

Re: Robert Sorby Precision Chuck

I've never used the Sorby Precision Chuck I bought in 1989.
I may finally try doing some lathe work and it looks clumsy to set up and the instructions aren't very clear.
Shopsmith now has the Nova G3 on sale. Is it just a better version of my old Sorby?
Is it any better than what Sorby now sells?

Lathe: screw center

I've misplaced the screw for my lathe screw center drive. Can I use any wood screw or is there a special size?

Keeping tools handy

I use magnetic holders intended to keep electric wires and cables in place to keep my Shopsmith accessory tools handy. They are strong enough to hold a double ended wrench for my Routing System, and fit out of the way on all the others, like my Scroll Saw. There are many styles available; these moun...

DC Tool Storage

The storage base is a good idea.
I made a storage device based on SS plans (from somewhere, many years ago). Can't figure out how to poste a picture.

which one

The one in Tucson seems to have a few more things but costs more. As one who has sold (even Shopsmith stuff) on CL, prices are negotiable. If they're in comparable condition, I'd try to get a lower price on the Tucson sale.
