Speed Increaser Vs Router Table
Thank you for the feedback. A lot to consider. Based on my future needs I think I will go with the Pro Fence System and add a Router. Like the idea of being able to do the separate hand routing functions.

I would like to perform more standard router functions on my SS 520. My question is, would I be better off getting a speed increaser and using this to perform under table routing functions, or purchase the Pro Router Fence and Table Package from SS? I like the idea of being able to use the headstock ...

Repaired Motor Wire Insulation
Thank your for your reply. Yes, my wires looked exactly like your picture. I did not want to have to remove the motor to re-wire if at all possible. I stripped back the heavy insulation from the motor that covers the two wires and found that the wires contained in the insulation were in good shape ...

How do I replace / repair the motor wires that run to the power switch on SS500 Yr 1983? I thought the switch went bad, but when I removed it the two wires from the motor (I think - they have the angled connectors to the switch) are cracked and missing quite a bit of the insulation. Will this ...
