Band Saw allignment issue

I would like to use my bandsaw, but when i slide the head stock to the band saw drive the aren't alligned in height. I know i have to use the coupler, but are the shafts supposed to be on different levels?:confused:

I'm a little confused, it won't spin but you tested it and it works fine??? If you mean it starts and works on the bench but once you have it in the machine it won't, then I would first check to see if the whole drive train is bound. Belt tension

My new motor i put in is not adjusted right i cant get it to spin as it acts like it is binding. i tested the motor it works fine. please advise. Thanks

This is not unusal to find the insulation cracked or missing in older motors. I replace all of these wires with #14 wire (#16 wire is standard) and leave about 1-2" of the original wire from the windings so I have something to solder to. I use white wire for the start winding side and blue/bla...
