Re: DC-3300 to DC-6000 upgrade: Yea or Nay?

I have the standard 12" filter hood on my dust collector, and it inflates well.

Re: DC-3300 to DC-6000 upgrade: Yea or Nay?

Hello, I just wanted to give my opinion which seems different than most. My DC3000 was over 20 years old. I performed the upgrade and am happy I did. My dust collector works better and quieter. I feel like it gave me a new dust collector for half the price of purchasing new. I did, however, run into...

Re: New (old) Jointer on ShopSmith Power Stand

I thought about a longer belt, but took the easy approach.....I would have needed to disassemble quite a bit more to change the belt. It was easier just to move the motor closer. Belt is in good condition and tension feels about right. I'm not getting excessive noise. Ahhh...I will make sure the flo...

Re: New (old) Jointer on ShopSmith Power Stand

The manual says the bearings are sealed and permanently lubricated so I don't think I can lubricate them.

I've read with interest the notes regarding powering the jointer on a power station. Being over 70 years old with some back issues, I purchased a used power station from e-bay so I could mount my jointer permanently and have no need to lift it anymore. I modified the power station by changing the 2 ...

Re: Online Documentation is Certainly Improved

I noticed that page 4 of the DC330L on-line manual is labeled as page 5. I sent an email to Shopsmith asking if there is a page missing or page 4 is just mis-numbered.

I ordered a DC330L on 12/28/2017. Shopsmith said February delivery.

Re: Holiday Catalog and NEW dust collector

Just wanted to say the Shopsmith always answers my emails....sometimes it takes a while, but I always get a response. I did receive an email confirming 600 CFM. Waiting to see the first review.

Re: Holiday Catalog and NEW dust collector

Your answer that the 330L has the same CFM makes sense, but why did they bother to put in a motor with 2X the HP?

Re: Holiday Catalog and NEW dust collector

I have sent 3 emails to Shopsmith over the last 10 days asking for the CFM spec for the new dust collector. No responses received at all.
