Fill the middle in some contrast always looks good, but modern. Glass even more so. Even cut somewhere in the middle, preferably at an angle, and just space the pieces apart. Saw a dude cut and space, then fill with epoxy and LED's, very Tron.
Just post up the progress.

Re: Drawer for the 'bag box' on the Mark VII base.
This is well done. Drawers are one of my long term plans for the VII.

Re: Fathers B-Day Project
Thanks guys,
Couple coats of clear then yellow spraypaint through cheap Michael's, local craft store chain, stencils. Followed with a few more coats. Super pleased with the outcome.
I'll keep the JPW in mind.

Re: Shorty vs. Mini vs. Shop Deputy
The 18" shorter Mark V is on the left with the Mark VII table set up for sanding. Don't know how I ever lived without a big sanding disk. The Mark VII is on the right "upgraded" to a 510 table and powers the bandsaw. http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t593/squashfest81/Mobile%20Uploa...

Re: Shorty vs. Mini vs. Shop Deputy
Disappeared from the forum for a bit. Never posted the cut down pic. I decided on 18" and not the 19" I had talked about. Everything fits. Next time it gets pulled apart I'll chop the last inch off. http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t593/squashfest81/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG4920_zpsqmydlkvg...

Re: The Ultimate Sawsmith Radial Arm Saw Thread
Keep posting on everything you learn. There is just not enough Sawsmith info out there. Saved mine and I need to order a coil cord and switch.

Re: Cutting down the V
Going back together. I want to test her out at this size before a respray. Maybe she needs to go shorter? http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t593/squashfest81/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG4919_zpsipcrwmqh.jpg http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t593/squashfest81/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG4920_zpsqmydlkvg.jpg

Cutting down the V
What does one do when they find a little Atlas bandsaw? http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t593/squashfest81/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG4914_zpspajeuv3m.jpg They take those pesky 18 inches off the Mark V. http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t593/squashfest81/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG4921_zpsy6ponkby.jpg
