Bill - Thanks so much for the info. I've also seen folks on eBay that do repair / upgrade deals. Too bad there isn't anyone out there that would do an exchange for a fee - take mine in for a rebuild and return an already rebuilt unit. My serial number is a low one though so maybe it has collectable ...

Hey - good to hear from a local! :D It is very much in my abilities but not time plus I need to get more parts to finish the job. Thanks for the reply. If all else fails I'd send it into Shopsmith as I'm sure they would do it right :-) I'd like to try a local option first and if that fails then off to Shopsmith it will go.
